Thursday, June 19, 2008 16 PDA scholars get individual tasks
THE 16 Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA) Season 2 scholars will be showcasing what they learned during the very first Performance Night at the PDA Concert Hall on Saturday.
In preparation for the father-themed Performance Night, Teacher Monet Silvestre instructed the scholars to familiarize their song assignments.
Hansen Nichols will be singing "Kailangan Kita" while Chivas Malunda will be doing "After The Lovin."
"You'll Never Walk Alone" will be Jay Bogayan's piece, while Van Pojas will be singing "I Can't Fight this Feeling Anymore."
"Dance With My Father" was assigned to Liezel Garcia, "Mama" to Cris Pastor, and "Salamat" to Michelle Belmonte.
Laarni Losala will be belting out "In Your Eyes" while Iñaki Ting will present his version of "Close To You."
Ross Dio will impress the judges with his rendition of "Father and Son" while Christian Alvear will be doing "Laklak."
Lovebirds Miguel Mendoza and Bea Muñoz will be doing classics with the Romantic Crooner singing "A House Is Not A Home" and "Moon River" for the Sweet Chanteuse.
It will be "Thank You" for Bunny Malunda, "Papa Can You Hear Me?" for Apple Abarquez, and "Skyline Pigeon Fly" for Jet Singh.
In addition to their respective songs, the scholars will also perform One Voice's composition "Salamat Ama." This particular composition was created during an activity wherein Monet instructed the two orgs to write a song for their fathers, in the spirit of Father's Day.
Pupilars composed "Ama/Daddy," but Monet liked One Voice's composition more because according to him, the melody has more recall.
