Friday, June 27, 2008 Boy says Ai-Ai caused Kris-James 'break-up'
RUMORS about the Kris Aquino-James Yap break-up marked the headline of tabloids, radio, and TV entertainment news this week.
Kris, who is known to be an outspoken actress, opted not to talk about the issue considering her mother's (former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino who is diagnosed with colon cancer) delicate situation at present.
One of her close friends, Boy Abunda, decided to speak for the actress on the current status of Kris' "shaky" relationship with Purefoods cager James.
"Kris and James did not part ways," Boy said.
He clarified that the couple did not part ways, but they really had a dispute that made Kris dodge out from their house and stay at Discovery Suites together with two sons.

Boy brushed off a third party as reason for Kris and James alleged break-up.
He even dismissed that Kris' "spoiled brat" attitude was the cause. "In fairness to my friend, she changed a lot. I can see in her, she wants her marriage to work. She will do anything to make her marriage work."
He said the true cause of the couple's heated argument was because Kris accepted a special guest appearance in Ai-Ai delas Alas' (Kris' friend) new movie "Ang Tanging Ina Ng Bayan."
James and Ai-Ai have had a bad blood since the comedy queen commented that "Kris gives James back to his mother" during the couple's controversy with Hope Centeno.
Apparently until now, James still cannot forgive Ai-Ai for what she said.
But Boy clarified that when the rumored break-up broke out, Kris and James already reconciled.
He said the two are now back in each other's arms and undergoing marriage counseling.
According to him, Kris will also not appear in Ai-ai's movie, as respect for her husband's decision. He said family is more important than projects, and Ai-Ai will surely understand her friend's decision.
Meanwhile, Boy hoped that James and Ai-Ai would eventually iron things out.
Rumors about the couple's rift were allegedly puffed out through a celebrity-based mobile service called "K Text," which had Kris listed as one of the featured celebrities.
Kris was allegedly the one who disclosed her marital problem with James but not in full-detail. She also shared that they are now undertaking counseling.
Reports said the rift between the couple lasted for about a week. Accordingly, Kris celebrated her eldest son's birthday at Discovery Shores in Boracay without James. (JRDB/Sunnex)
