"I'm very happy of course. I am grateful that they (Philippine Movie Press Club) could see all my effort and hard work, and I thanked them for being there for me since I started. They're always there to support me," Lovi said.
She proved that she is one of the most promising stars today, but along her stardom is the controversy that keeps hounding her love life.
Lovi has been linked to Jolo Revilla since they teamed up in GMA-7's daytime series "Kaputol ng Isang Awit".
But reports are circulating that Rowena Moran (Lovi's mother) allegedly is not in favor of Jolo. She was seen to have allegedly confronted the young actor several times in the set of the said soap.
Lovi though downplayed the issue. "My mom is strict not only with him (Jolo). She's strict with all my suitors," she said.
She also said that it is her mother's role to protect and take care of her as a daughter.
Lovi and Jolo have neither confirmed nor denied being in a serious relationship.
Lovi said, "Well, I cannot differentiate. It's very hard to distinguish it right now."
"Jolo is important to me and I cannot deny the fact that he became close to me," she added.
The young actress has dedicated her award to Jolo because of the inspiration he gave to her.
In a television interview, Jolo appreciated the concern Lovi is showing him. The young actress recently defended Jolo on issues saying the young actor will leave her once she gets pregnant.
Jolo left Rosanna Roces' daughter Grace Adriano, after he had her pregnant.
"I was shocked with the issue. I hope they'll stop saying that. It's not because I have a child and I got a girl pregnant, I will also do it to Lovi," he said.
Jolo also said his parents (Senator Bong and Lani Mercado) are alarmed by such issues.
