Maricel Laxa hosts 'MomWorks'

LIFESTYLE Network' "The Life You Live and Working Mom Magazine" presents "MomWorks".

Momworks is a show that is especially made for women every Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.

Arroyo Watch: Sun.Star blog on President Arroyo

The show focuses on the struggles and triumphs of a wife, mother and a career woman.

It features topics important to women such as career, home management, a child's personality formation and even keeping the romance alive.

Supermom Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, wife to husband Anthony, mother to four beautiful children and a certified career woman has her hands full.

Maricel has made over 20 films and has guested in numerous Philippine TV programs.

Aside from fulfilling her duties as a wife and mother, Maricel is also an author of books about family.

One of her books is bestseller Mommytalk.

Laxa is also a columnist for one of the country's top broadsheets.

She earned her BS degree in Social Science from the University of the Philippines and is earning her master's degree in Family Life and Child Development, also in UP.

She has earned major awards and citations as an actress and as a mother.

Laxa said, "There is no such thing as a non-working mom. Once you become a mother, that's work itself - every minute, every second, every moment. And it's one of the most fulfilling jobs a woman can have." (JRDB/Sunnex)
