'Lovely Day' goes to cheese, balloon factory

THIS Saturday, GMA-7 infotainment kids show "Lovely Day" visits a factory that produces one of Filipinos' favorite sandwich spreads - cheese.

Arroyo Watch: Sun.Star blog on President Arroyo

Show-host Gabby Roxas will explore what's inside the plant.

They will witness high-tech machines mixing cheese curds with flavored powders that make the cheese spread delicious.

Gabby also visits the St. Francis Dairy Cooperative in Batangas to meet the more than 50 cows of the dairy.

Milk is extracted from these cows to be able to make delicious creamy cheese.

He learns from the experts how they take care of these kind creatures, and also take on the challenge of milking a cow.

After learning about cheese making, "Lovely Day" will learn a new style of imprinting balloons.

If before balloons are simply embossed by letters and simple cartoon character faces, now people can also have pictures imprinted on a balloon.

Host Love Añover visits the Lollipop Safety Balloon Center, and finds out how Fotoloons or balloons with imprinted pictures are made.

She will also discover how the shiny and colorful foil balloons are created.

With the help of Jing Callanta, an expert balloon twister, Love learns how to make a dog, a butterfly and other animal designs using balloons.

Jing also shows Love one of her balloon art masterpieces, a gown made out of more than a hundred balloons.

"Lovely Day" airs every Saturday morning on GMA-7. (JRDB/Sunnex)
