Boy defends own TV show

TV HOST Boy Abunda brushed off issue that ABS-CBN morning talk show "Boy & Kris" will soon leave its airtime.

"That's not true and the show is okay and so far so good," Boy stressed in a Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) report.

"Although, I am not saying that 'Boy & Kris' will be there forever. Everything comes to an end, but the rumors are not true," the TV host clarified.

Boy and his co-host Kris Aquino are celebrating the week-long anniversary of "Boy & Kris" that started last Monday.

Boy is not affected by the issue because no one from his executives is advising him and Kris that the show will soon get axed.

"We're celebrating our first year now and no one is telling us about that. If that's true, I think we deserve to be informed. But we haven't received any advice as of now," Boy said.

Speculations started during the issue of Lorna Tolentino's transfer who allegedly is set to do a new talk show in ABS-CBN as replacement to "Boy & Kris".

"If the show will come to an end, if LT has a talk show, I don't know. 'Boy & Kris' will stay," Boy asserted.

Rumors of the show's removal even got intense when Kris and husband James Yap decided to stay in the US for a couple of weeks.

"No, they're going to take a vacation. We already finished taping exciting episodes for our talk show," Boy added. (JRDB/Sunnex)
