THE ABS-CBN News Channel's (ANC) TV special on the current economic crisis "Coping with the Crunch," hosted by Ricky Carandang and Luchi Cruz-Valdes, will have its afternoon telecast on Saturday at 3 p.m.
The show brings together some of the country's best minds to tackle the economic crisis that the Philippines is grappling with today.
News reports in recent months confirmed what majority Filipinos fear the most: the global problems of rising oil prices and the food crisis have reached our shores.
Latest surveys show more and more Filipino families experiencing "involuntary hunger," while a rising number of middle class car owners now opt to take public transportation due to the unabated increase in pump prices.
Why has it come to this? What can be done about it?
ANC hoped to answer these questions in "Coping with the Crunch."
In partnership with the University of the Philippines (UP) School of Economics and the Management Association of the Philippines, this special presentation will bring together the country's most respected economists and business leaders, government's top economic managers, and representatives from various sectors of society.
