Ozamiz Archbishop Jesus Dosado, in a radio interview, said he was walking towards the Immaculate Conception Cathedral to pray when a man onboard a motorcycle blocked his path and at gunpoint, robbed him of cellular phone and wallet.
“I am on my way to the Cathedral, when a man pretending to check his motorcycle, pointed a gun at me and declared a hold-up,” he said.
According to Dosado, his wallet contained P3,200 in cash and driver’s license.
The prelate said that instead of reporting the incident to the police, he just went to the Cathedral and prayed for the robber.
He also revealed that the incident is not new to him as it was the second time that he was robbed.
“This is the second time. I can’t remember anymore the first one because it was a long time ago,” Dosado said.
He added that the robber does not know that he is the archbishop of the place. “I don’t think so. Maybe he doesn’t really know me. So I just prayed,” he said. (FP/Sunnex)
