MALACAÑANG has condemned the killing of a program director of Radio Mindanao Network in Roxas City last Thursday assuring the victim’s family that police investigators would do all they can to resolve the case.
“The Palace condemns the killing in the strongest possible terms. All law enforcement agencies are directed to leave no stone unturned in solving the crime and in bringing the culprits behind bars,” said Presidential Management Staff director general Cerge Remonde.
Martin Roxas of Malipayon Village, Roxas City, Capiz was gunned down by two motorcycle-riding men between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday.
Roxas succumbed to a lone gunshot wound in the nape.
He is the third member of RMN who was attacked in the last two weeks with Ely Abara, RMN Capiz City station manager, being mauled by two men as he passed by Hemingway Street in the city, and RMN General Santos City program manager Dennis Cuesta being ambushed by unidentified men last week.
