Vilma, John Lloyd unite in one movie

FOLLOWING the success of his recent movie with Sarah Geronimo, Box-Office King John Lloyd Cruz will not be idle as his movie with Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos got its green light.

Vilma confirmed that her movie with John Lloyd is definitely pushing through after it had been reportedly almost aborted due to Vilma's work as governor of Batangas.

"Finally, my constituents had allowed me to do a movie this year, so my movie with John Lloyd (Cruz) under Star Cinema is now on the go," the governor said, explaining that she intentionally opted to spend one year in serving her constituents before doing a film.

According to Vilma, she already had a meeting with the Star Cinema executives and they are now preparing for the script and shooting locations for the movie.

Some of the scenes will be shot in New York while part of it will be shot in the governor's bailiwick - Batangas.

This is the first time for the Star for All Seasons to work with John Lloyd in a movie, thus both award-winning luminaries are excited.

"I'm thrilled because John Lloyd is an excellent artist. I admire his acting skills," Ate Vi said.

For John Lloyd, he elatedly confirmed, "My movie with Ate Vi is ready to launch and we are just waiting for the shooting date."

Vilma shared that she will not be playing John Lloyd's mother in the film. She said she has a homosexual son who will have a relationship with John Lloyd. Her son will later die, starting a conflict between their characters.

Vilma and John Lloyd are scheduled to depart next month for New York for almost three weeks to shoot their film. (JRDB/Sunnex)
