Alyssa sought MMDA chief's help

AFTER a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) vehicle allegedly sideswiped her, Startalk co-host Alyssa Alano called for MMDA chairman Bayani Fernando's help to act on the incident.

The TV host made the appeal after an MMDA official purportedly denied involvement of any of their employees or their trucks in the minor road mishap.

"I saw the truck, it was a big truck. MMDA was boldly written on it so I clearly saw it. I did not chase the truck because I was alone at that time and I was afraid because it was my first time to encounter such incident," Alyssa explained opposing the MMDA official's statement.

As she was 100 percent sure of her claims, Alyssa caught the MMDA chief's attention on their talk show last Saturday.

She said: "Chairman, can we pursue the person who is responsible for this? I will not ask him to pay for the damage but please give him a lesson and refrain from doing it again."

Alyssa quipped, "Chairman, I will vote for you in the coming elections, so please help me."

According to the comedienne, she is not asking for a replacement for her car but merely to reprimand the alleged misconduct of the MMDA employee.

Alyssa narrated that the alleged MMDA driver laughed at her after her car was hit. "Nilabas niya ang ulo tapos tumatawa," she claimed, prompting her to blurt swear words to the driver.

In response to Alyssa's plea, Fernando's wife, Marikina Mayor Marides Fernando, called up Startalk to assure the TV host that the MMDA chief would take appropriate actions.

"I just want to assure you that Chairman will investigate the incident. He just arrived from Hawaii. He did not know what happened to you and he has not viewed your interview. I told him to check on it," Mrs. Fernando said.

Alyssa, in return, thanked the Marikina mayor saying she will be very grateful if the MMDA chief will fulfill his promise. (JRDB/Sunnex)
