Patrick's mom willing to visit grandson

WEEKS after Starstruck survivor Jennylyn Mercado gave birth to her baby named Alex Jazz, Patrick Garcia's mother, Bing, expressed willingness to see her grandson.

Bing said they have not seen Jennylyn's son by Patrick since the actress gave birth last August 16, thus she still cannot comment when asked about her reaction to the baby's facial similarities with Patrick.

Bing said she is willing to visit her grandson if she will be invited by Jennylyn. "If we are not welcome, we don't want to push ourselves to them. We just want an invitation," she said.

According to her, they are also open to extend assistance to Jennylyn if she will ask for it. "We are always here anytime but we don't want to be gate-crashers. We are just here to support them," she added.

There are issues that Patrick until now is not aware that Jennylyn has already delivered their baby, but Patrick's mother had a one-liner response: "Hindi ko pa nabalitaan."

She also defended her son from rumors that Patrick did not exit the country and is in a drug rehabilitation center.

"Patrick is not here (in the Philippines). Wherever he is, we keep it secret and private. That is the point of his vacation," she explained.

Bing said Patrick is scheduled to be back next month to attend his sister's (Cheska Garcia) wedding in October. (JRDB/Sunnex)
