She was recently discharged from the hospital as doctors said they could no longer treat the cancer cells that have reached some of the actress's vital organs.
Her body is in their home in Angono, Rizal. Interment plans have yet to be announced by the family.
Sanchez gained popularity in the 1980s when she became a mainstay in the defunct television gag show "Goin' Bananas" with Christopher de Leon, Johnny Delgado, and Jay Ilagan.
Some of the movies she made were: "Feel na Feel" (1990); "Hotdog" (1990); "Tiyanak" (1988); "Petrang Kabayo at ang Pilyang Kuting" (1988).
She also starred in "Bakit kinagat ni Adan ang mansanas ni Eba" (1988); "Ready, Aim, Fire" (1987); "Takot ako eh!" (1987); "Working Girls 2" (1987); and "Bagets" (1984).
