20 electrocuted after Oktoberfest party

AT LEAST 20 persons were electrocuted while they were dismantling the stage used in the kick-off party of Oktoberfest in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City Friday night.

The victims were brought to the Medical City and Rizal Medical Center. Three of them are in critical condition.

A police report said the incident took place around 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

The victims were clearing the venue of the Oktoberfest when a truss they were using touched a live wire of a Meralco post causing electrocution.

The event was organized by San Miguel Corporation. (JFF/Sunnex)
