Bunny's daughter with Mo Twister has brain cyst

FORMER actress Bunny Paras denied that her daughter with TV host DJ Mo Twister, Moira, has brain cancer. She, however, affirmed that the little girl has a cyst in her brain.

Now based in the United States, Bunny said in a showbiz talkshow interview Saturday that her daughter has a brain tumor.

"No it's not brain cancer. Thank you for all the concern, but no, I'm going to be devastated if that is the case. It's just a cyst in her brain. She was able to acquire this very rare syndrome or virus. You know, it just happened like flu, but this one is a very rare virus that attacks her body," Bunny explained.

According to reports, the virus that Moira acquired is called "Miller Fisher Syndrome."

Based on the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (Ninds), "Miller Fisher syndrome is a rare, acquired nerve disease that is considered to be a variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome. It is characterized by abnormal muscle coordination, paralysis of the eye muscles, and absence of the tendon reflexes. Like Guillain-Barré syndrome, symptoms may be preceded by a viral illness. Additional symptoms include generalized muscle weakness and respiratory failure. The majority of individuals with Miller Fisher syndrome have a unique antibody that characterizes the disorder."

Due to her daughter's weak muscle, Bunny said she worries about her daughter going to school as Moira's classroom is on the second floor.

"She's in Grade 5, but she is very small. So the school is always worried that she might fall. So, I have a classmate who helps her all the time. Like she should be monitored every morning, so it's like a double effort in taking care of her," she shared.

"We are not treating her like a baby, so she can have self-confidence," the former actress added.

Although Bunny is distressedby her daughter's condition, she still manages to look on the brighter side of the situation. She said Moira's condition caused her and Mo to settle their misunderstanding.

"Usually when it's summer, when Ate Sharmaine (Arnaiz) is here, I'm able to send Moira home. Moira's grandmother, on Mo's side, is very close to her. My daughter is really nice. Mo is very busy but I think that they were able to spend a little time," Bunny narrated.

But the former actress still thanked Mo for the time he spends with their daughter. "Thanks for spending time with Moira when she was home. And I hope you could do more of that because she is getting older. And thank God that, at least, Moira gets to spend time with his family." (JRDB/Sunnex)
