Monday, September 15, 2008 Baron denies getting into trouble in Venice
ANOTHER alcohol-related issue confronted Baron Geisler when the actor arrived in Manila after attending Venice International Film Festival for the special screening of his award-winning movie "Jay".
Based on a showbiz juice.com article, Baron allegedly got dead drunk, turned violent and got into trouble in Venice.
Baron, however, promptly denied the issue last Sunday on "The Buzz", saying: "After the awards night may cocktail may kainan may mga champagne pero everything went too well. Tikim tikim but I didn't get crazy. Kung ganon, dapat nakulong na ako kasi walang nalalasing sa Italy. At tsaka sobrang strict ng mga tao doon."
The entertainment site also claimed that due to the alleged melee, the actor almost got charged and detained in Venice, which was the reason for the delay of Baron's flight back to Manila.
"Wow hindi ko alam kung saan niyo nakuha itong mga kwentong ito," he exclaimed. "Pero siguro kung nadetain ako may record 'yun at malaking issue sa Pilipinas 'yan," he rebutted.
Baron clarified that the reason of his flight delayed was because of his ticket that could not be rebooked. The actor returned in the country last September 9 but he supposedly got back last September 7.
"Nadelay ako dahil sa ticket. Hindi na pwedeng ipa-rebook kasi parang promo siya. Actually dapat September 7, pero 'yun nga I had to stay," he said.
Baron meanwhile said his 14-day stay in Venice was a very remarkable experience for him. "Ang sarap nakita ko sila Brad Pitt, si George Clooney and the fun thing, ako lang mag-isa pupunta ako ng beach, ang ba-bait ng mga tao."
Baron has been implicated in several controversies involving alcohol, mauling and fray, thus he is now tagged as the "Bad Boy ng Star Magic."
"I am not a bad boy. Maybe I am a tough guy lang. I go against the norm na tinatawag nila. But now, I am doing my best para asikasuhin ang buhay ko ang career ko para dirediretso na," he claimed. (JRDB/Sunnex)
