URDANETA CITY -- Actress Joyce Jimenez and three others were injured after the vehicle they were riding in met an accident in Barangay Anonas here Monday dawn.
City Police Chief Rodolfo Castil Jr. said Jimenez, Joyce Herrin Reintegrado in real life, sustained minor injuries.
Also wounded were Cathleen Transporte, Diosdado Espiritu Jr., and their driver Sandy Juno.
The actress and her companions, on board a Toyota 4runner Wagon with license plate WBJ-101, were traversing a national highway in the area when the accident took place at 3:30 a.m.
The victims told the police that an unidentified bus coming from the opposite direction suddenly occupied their lane.
Juno avoided the bus, but lost control of the vehicle and went down to the rice field.
Residents who witnessed the incident rushed Jimenez and the three other victims to the Sacred Heart Hospital here for treatment.
