Young model joins 'Humingi Ako sa Langit'

MODEL-turned-actor Brent Javier said he will be part of the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye "Humingi Ako sa Langit" topbills Judy Ann Santos.

Brent excitedly shared that he will play an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-Gyne) role in the TV series that he said likely similar to the storyline of international TV show "Grey's Anatomy."

Being new in the showbiz world, Brent said that he is having a hard time coping with some seasoned actors he is doing a scene with.

"Sometimes I feel bad when I do take two, but then actually right now it's pretty cool working with Juday (Judy Ann) because sometimes she tells me do calm down and just do my thing, the best that I could," he said.

When asked how he feels working with Juday for the first time, he said: "Here and there she advised me to just chill out. She's nice like in just small stuffs. She's helping me I actually to calm my nerves like when I get there she's like 'masungit' but then I feel more pressure you know but she's cool she just say hi or 'kumusta'."

Other cast members of the teleserye are Derek Ramsey, Will Devaugn, and Mark Abaya.

Brent is planning to concentrate more on his acting career than modeling.

In preparation, he is studying the Filipino language.

According to Brent, he completely understands Tagalog although he has a hard time speaking.

The Fil-Canadian actor hoped that the public would accept him. He vowed to work hard and learn from every project that he will do.

Aside from television projects, Brent is also part of the cast of the sequel of the movie "Desperadas."

He said that he is willing to try other avenues in entertaining people like dancing and singing.

"I think I can be a good dancer, I just need to practice. But in singing too that depends. Why not try it. As long I am having fun, I will stay in showbiz; so for now I am having fun." (JRDB/Sunnex)
