Arnel to guest in Sam's major concert

AFTER a successful concert tour in some major countries in the world, Journey's frontman Arnel Pineda is back in his homeland.

Arnel arrived in the Philippines last Wednesday. He plans to take a break and unwind here for the moment following his band's exhausting series of shows abroad.

He will be staying in the country until February and while he's here, he is expected to grace some shows. First on his list is Sam Milby's major concert.

The Pinoy international icon will be one of the special guests of Sam in his first-ever solo concert dubbed "The Rockoustic Heartthrob" at the Aliw Theater on October 25.

Sam earlier expressed how glad he is and at the same time pressured working with such a great performer like Arnel. But then he said he will do his best not to fail his idol and his supporters.

The Journey's icon meanwhile is also looking forward to the concert of the heartthrob singer. Aside from that, Arnel is planning to have a reunion concert with his former band The Zoo.

Longing for his family, Arnel said he will make the most out of his four-month stay here in the country. He will also spend Christmas with them.

Arnel catapulted to stardom when he was discovered via YouTube by the member of the legendary band Journey to be their lead singer. Since then, he became one of most sought after icons in the world. They recently had a successful concert tour in the US, Canada, and Europe.

"It was amazing, until now I can't believe that I... you know I was able to do with the Journey. It was 69 shows. Album reached platinum in America," Arnel elatedly shared. (JRDB/Sunnex)
