Friday, October 10, 2008 Richard excited to host 'Family Feud'
EXCITEMENT and huge prizes are what Richard Gomez promised his contestants and viewers of GMA-7's newest game show "Family Feud."
Richard said hosting a game show is a dream come true for him that is why he unconditionally grabbed the opportunity to host the longest running game show in the world.
"Since we were kids, we have been watching this game show. And now that it is here in the Philippines, we are so glad and we're very proud of the show," the newly-minted TV host said.
He added: "Many people are enjoying this show. TV contestants, those in their own houses, all of them are throwing their answers and having fun while watching."
Richard seems so excited and enthusiastic about the new door that opens for him. "When the game show starts, you can see the excitement. It's exciting because you are given very little time to answer very simple questions."
He said hosting "Family Feud" is a new challenge for his long-running career in showbiz. He said he will try to give his best shot and hope not to fail the avid supporters of "Family Feud" locally and worldwide.
"Fremantle said they have templates. However, what they want for a host is the personality. The reason why I was chosen was because of my personality. So what the people from Fremantle told me was 'use your personality for the show'," he said.
Richard, meanwhile, added that his show offers huge prizes for studio contestants and viewers. "The prizes starts at P150,000. When the family who plays in the fast money fail to get the grand prize it will be mounted up the following day."
"Family Feud" replaced the time slot of "Gobingo." It will be aired starting Monday before "24 Oras" on GMA-7. (JRDB/Sunnex)
