Tuesday, October 14, 2008 Angelika bares pregnancy, marriage
A DAY after actress Angelika dela Cruz detailed the surprise romantic engagement proposal of her non-showbiz boyfriend Orion Casareo, she announced in a television interview that she was already married and is pregnant with her beau.
Refuting her own claim, Angelika revealed she was already engaged to Orion last December 27, 2007 and got married through a civil wedding on August 19, this year.
She then found out, last October 9, that she is three months pregnant.
The 27-year-old actress said someone "prohibited" her not to make her situation known to the public that's why she was compelled to keep the status of her relationship a secret for almost two years.
But now, Angelika is more than ready to face the new chapter in her life and decided to share to the public her happiness for bearing a child.
"I am pregnant. I am very happy and I am very proud!" she exclaimed.
Angelika is currently doing an afternoon soap in GMA-7 "Una Kang Naging Akin." She is also included in the cast of the local version of Argentine series "La Lola."
The actress admitted that her pregnancy will have a great effect on her career. But then, she seems so ready for the consequences of her decision. (JRDB/Sunnex)
