Lorna to mark November 1 solemnly

ALTHOUGH grief still resides her heart, Rudy Fernandez’s widow Lorna Tolentino tries to win over sorrow one day at a time.

With the help of her friends, Lorna is learning to live each day without Rudy and gradually compose herself again.

In the observance of November 1, Lorna is planning a simple and solemn day with her family and friends at the tomb of Rudy in the Heritage Park.

She said they will just put up a tent over Rudy’s tomb since his mausoleum is not yet done. They will also hold a mass for the late Junior Action Star.

According to Lorna, thoughts of Rudy will always be in her heart and mind and she is not sure when she will completely recover from her husband’s demise. Seeing Rudy in her dreams makes her happy. Feeling Rudy’s presence satisfies her day.

She believes that complete healing will still be a long process for her. Nevertheless she is still happy having Rudy inside her heart.

Lorna meanwhile allots most of her time now for some of the projects involving Rudy. First is the Fernandez Cancer Foundation, which she personally organized to help cancer patients.

She also serves as consultant for the movie “Magkaibigan” produced by Jinggoy Estrada, one of Rudy’s best buddies. It resembles the friendship of Jinggoy and Rudy. (JRDB/Sunnex)
