Willie's house robbed; housemaid arrested

EARLY Monday morning, noontime show-host Wilfredo "Willie" Revillame reported robbery incident at his house in Corinthian Hills Subdivision, in Quezon City.

Based in initial report, the break-in happened last Saturday but it was only reported last Monday morning at 6 a.m. when Revillame came back from a short out-of-town trip.

Burglars carted away about P3 million worth of expensive watches and jewelries. At first, Willie brushed off that the stealing was an inside job.

But on Monday afternoon, authorities had arrested two suspects, Revillame's househelp, Andresa Wenceslao, and her partner Danny Pacampang. They were nabbed in Pasig City 10 hours after Willie reported the case.

With the arrest of the two, Willie then believed that his maid probably has something to do with the incident, as there are only two persons who have access on his house - Wenceslao and another housemaid named Edna.

Edna was the one who disclosed about the whereabouts of Wenceslao and her boyfriend. Edna claimed it was Wenceslao who was on duty last November 1 when the break-in reportedly happened.

According to the subdivision's securities, the security in Corinthian was very tight that ordinary people, even policemen, are not allowed to immediately enter the place, thus people close to Willie would definitely be included in the list of suspects.

The two suspects, meanwhile, denied any involvement in the break-in.

Revillame was gone for two days as he went to his rest house in Tagaytay and traveled to Subic to observe All Soul's Day. It was only the time when got back that he learned about the burglary.

Despite the incident, the TV host is still thankful that no one from his family was injured. (JRDB/Sunnex)
