Survivor castoffs bet on Nanay Zita

IF THE votes of the eight castoffs will be the basis of who will win Survivor Philippines (SP), Zita Ortega or Nanay Zita will be the First Pinoy Sole Survivor.

In a press conference prepared for all the eight Survivor castoffs, the media had a chance to ask them who are their personal bets and who they think will win the prestigious title for the hit reality show.

Sewing machine technician Emerson Diño, auto-mechanic John Anthony Lopez, baby-sitter Patani Daño, wellness coach-mother Niña Ortiz, call center agent Nikki Dacullo, and Farmer's daughter Vevherly Gador all chose Nanay Zita as their personal bet.

Former GRO Chev Matias meanwhile preferred taekwondo coach Veronica Domingo while mountaineer Gigit Sulit opted not to pick anybody as he believed that SP is a process wherein it is not important who will win or who will lose.

Paolo meanwhile disclosed that the final Survivor tribal council will be held on December 12.

As these eight individuals became part of Survivor, there were changes that had happened in their individual lives and will happen in the near future.

They were used to be ordinary people but now...

Gigit: "There was this lingering uneasiness with me na hindi ko ma-shake off and no matter logic I do with it. Hindi talaga and then I realized that I was in denial that has to do with my ego contrary to the public perception; I actually felt that I was humiliated in front of an audience. I was voted too early, that I was flooded with so many scenarios the what ifs the should have beens and all that. But then I proved that I was all wrong because when I came back here from Sagada the people were so welcoming, they were all saying good things about me, and I saw myself in a very different light that I said 'Hey I didn't do too bad after all' that I also showed something that the public appreciated. And then I started feeling a lot better."

Vevherly: "It boosted my self-confidence. Kasi dati bihira lang ako nagsasalita. I'm so happy na after Survivor, nagbago talaga ang life ko, kasi dati parang wala lang.

Nikki: "Exposure. Right after we came back from Thailand, alam mo yung narerecognize ka ng tao 'uy Nikki.' Masaya kasi we had a normal life before and then ngayon kilala na kami.

Chev: "I hate you all guys.

Niña: "I always believe that age should not be a deterrent for anyone to get into a personal challenge pati gender. Ang pinakamalaking pagbabago sa akin is that 'I inspired women. Women at my age, women younger than me, moms all over the Philippines and globally and then women who are married with kids and even seperated na ang laban tuloy-tuloy pag meron kang challenge na na-overcome today it's just one challenge the next day so kailangan harapin mo ng buo ang mga challenges na iyon."

Patani, Chev, Vhev, and Nikki are now part of GMA Artists Center. Patani has been appearing in some shows in GMA like "Eat Bulaga", "Unang Hirit", and "Ful Haus". Nikki meanwhile will guest in "Unang Hirit" this whole week. (JRDB/Sunnex)
