YOUNG actor John Wayne Sace confirmed that he will soon be a father.
John Wayne, who is part of ABS-CBN talent center Star Magic, admitted in an interview with ABS-CBN online news that his non-showbiz girlfriend, Cheska Villareal, is five months pregnant.
Contrary to earlier reports, John denied that he planned to keep Cheska's situation when they had a vacation in Palawan about two months ago.
He clarified that he never intended to hide from the media and that he just went to Palawan to unwind. "Kamamatay pa lang ng Mommy ko kaya doon na muna kami nag-stay, pero hindi kami nagtago."
John Wayne, 19, related that Cheska, 20, is his friend even before he entered showbiz.
Being a father at an early age meanwhile is not a problem for John Wayne. He said he is willing to support his child but that he is not yet ready to marry Cheska.
He quipped that the best part was that he had proven that he is not a gay. He seriously said he could not wait to see his child and be a great father and a good provider as he can be.
John Wayne's career was first recognized in Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon's movie "Dekada '70." He became part of the teen boy group called "Anime," with Rayver and Rodjun Cruz. He was also part of the recently-launched Star Magic Catalogue for 2008. (JRDB/Sunnex)
