Tuesday, November 25, 2008 ‘Land Down Under’ to premiere in US
THE movie of Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin will have its US premiere first before it will be screened in the country.
Ironically, “Land Down Under” is slated to be initially screened in some states in the US such as Los Angeles on December 6 and San Francisco Bay Area (Redwood City) on December 7. The special screening will be graced by the two main stars.
Piolo and Angel were back last Saturday after about two weeks of shooting in the real land down under - Australia.
The two stars will just finish few remaining scenes for their film here before flying to the States. Half of the film was shot in Bukidnon in Northern Mindanao while the other half was taken in Darwin, Australia.
Supposedly, the original play date of this movie was this month. However, due to some delays, the showing was moved early next year.
The screening of “Land Down Under” is part of the world premiere of Star Cinema’s parade of movies filmed in line with its 15th year anniversary.
The movie of Vhong Navarro and Toni Gonzaga - “My Only U” will also be screened in the said event. Toni and Vhong will be absent in the screening, but Sam Milby is expected to attend the show to join Piolo and Angel.
A film by Director Rory Quintos, “Land Down Under” is a story about winning back one’s first love after being separated for years.
Migo (Piolo), after his father’s death, returns to his hometown in Bukidnon, to reclaim his family’s ranch. He then sees his first love, Arah (Angel), who is an excellent rodeo, and tries to win the beautiful lady’s heart again. (JRDB/Sunnex)
