Friday, December 19, 2008 3 bodies dumped in Pasay
THE bodies of three men believed to be victims of summary execution were dumped and found by the authorities in separate areas in Pasay City before dawn Thursday.
Pasay police chief Raul Petrasanta said the first body was found by Rey Eusebio, the brother of Bar 72, Zone 9 chairman Mon Eusebio, at the corner of Figueroa Street and Grace Road at 3:45 a.m.
Scene-of-the-crime investigators said the victim's hands and feet were tied and the mouth was gagged by adhesive tape. He had a scorpion tattoo on his left hand.
Police placed the victim's age at 25 to 30 years old.
Investigator Senior Police Officer (SPO) 1 Alan Valdez said a Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) member recovered five empty shells of an unknown caliber near the victim's body.
People living along Figueroa Street told police that they heard three successive gunshots an hour before the body was found.
A resident named Leandro Natividad said he did not bother checking the gunshots because he thought some kids were only playing with firecrackers.
Two hours later, authorities received a call about two more bodies found on the pavement of Buendia Avenue extension near the Manila Film Center.
Police said the two victims were also repeatedly shot while their mouths were gagged and hands and feet were tied with adhesive tape.
The cadavers were spotted by PO1 Harris Paned and PO1 Lawrence Nicolas who were conducting routine patrol in the area.
Soco retrieved five empty shells of 5.56 mm and three of 9mm pistol.
Witnesses said the two victims were shot dead by occupants of an unknown vehicle in front of the film center.
The three victims, according to the Pasay City police, could have been slain by the same people. (AH/Sunnex)
