The petite singer admitted the boyfriend’s plan to enter showbiz, but brushed off the issue that Austin is just using her fame.
“He came here before because he really wanted to try to enter showbiz, but there’s no time because he was in school. At this time he just came here to support me (in Ogie Sings with the Idol concert),” she said.
“He is not a ‘manggagamit’,” she clarified. “I understand what it looks like because I would also think the same thing; but if you even got to meet him and I know people don’t take much time to do that, he is not like that.”
Ramiele also said that she will not help her boyfriend should Austin pursue his desire to try showbiz. “If he really wants to be an artist, he’ll do it for himself. He doesn’t want nor need my help. He wants to do it on his own like I’m not going to help him.”
She said that Austin is her “first real boyfriend” and they have been together for almost seven months now.
“He is a Kapampangan,” said the AI singer. “I saw him in a restaurant in the States where he was picking up for ensaymada for his mom. I told my mom ‘Gwapo siya’ because his face is familiar. I even thought he was an actor.”
Ramiele shared that she would have thought that her boyfriend is just using her if Austin knew her as an AI finalist when they met.
“I never felt that he is using me,” she said. “When I met him he didn’t even know who I was. I mean that’s a good feeling. Most of my friends also tell me ‘be careful he might be using you’ but when they got to know him, they saw the sincerity in Austin.”
Career in RP
Ramiele is the special guest in the two-night concert of Ogie Alcasid with Pinoy Idol winners and finalists on Saturday and Sunday.
Asked if this will be the start of her career in the Philippines, she said: “I will be focusing on the concert first. I would love to record an album here but we will see.”
Ramiele already appeared in some GMA-7 shows like “SOP.” With her three months stay in the country, she is expecting to grace other shows on TV as well.
Lurid photos
At the height of her stint in AI, there were sexy photos of Ramiele with her girl pals that circulated in the Internet.
Some tagged her as lesbians as what the caption of the pictures tried to imply.
What Ramiele has to say on this Net fuss, “At first I was worried what my parents would say when they see the photos. People could write anything under the pictures. I don’t want to embarrass my parents, but they trusted me and told me that it’s okay because they know who my friends are and they know that it was just all joke.
