The adult dolphin beached itself Tuesday night and died several hours later. MANILA -- Elections must go ahead on May 10 even if the votes have to be counted manually, President Arroyo said on Wednesday while the country's largest business group warned that a postponement will rattle investors.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman Benjamin Abalos Sr. said the commission is ready and can still shift to manual counting after the Supreme Court (SC) scrapped the P1.3-billion contract for an automated counting system.

21-ft dolphin beached at Matina Aplaya, dies

DAVAO -- A 20.88-foot female bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), probably the biggest recorded bottlenose dolphin ever, was beached on the shores of Matina Aplaya at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
