Bro. Eddie spokesman says 4M to attend Thursday's campaign rally (12:10 p.m.)

Televangelist and Bangon Pilipinas Movement (BMP) standard-bearer Eduardo Villanueva will stage his major "miting de avance" Thursday at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila's Rizal Park.

BMP spokesman and lawyer Luis Sison said that approximately four million supporters from all over the country are expected to participate in the biggest political rally ever in the nation's history.

Villanueva, popularly known as "Bro. Eddie," is expected to deliver his final public speech at 6 p.m.

It has been reported that Villanueva does not offer free lunch for his supporters during political rallies.

According to a pastor who helped organize Villanueva's luncheon meeting last Monday, about 400 of the evangelist's supporters paid 350 pesos each for their lunch and to raise funds for their presidential bet's campaign.

Key organizations and personalities are reportedly set to attend Villanueva's grand rally to reveal their support for Villanueva, leader of the "Jesus is Lord" movement. He is believed to have some seven million born-again Christian followers. (Mae Catherine Melchor)
