Busloads of Poe fans arrive at Sto. Domingo (2:42 p.m.)

MANILA -- Twenty busloads of fans of the late movie icon Fernando Poe Jr., all of whom came from La Union and Ilocos Sur, arrived at the Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City on Thursday morning to pay their last respect to the King of Philippine Movies.

They will camp out in the church grounds for three days, it was learned.

Meanwhile, former Vice President Teofisto Guingona and his son Teofisto III, former Sen. Ernesto Maceda and former Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Liwayway Chato paid their last respects to Poe Thursday.

Fr. Robert Reyes, the so-called Running Priest, went to Poe's wake as he expressed his gratitude to the family of the actor for Poe's help extended to the victims of landslides and floods in the provinces of Aurora, Quezon and Nueva Ecija. (JFF)
