Slain Sayyaf inmates buried in mass grave (10:30 a.m.)

THE three Abu Sayyaf leaders and the 19 other Moro inmates that were slain in Tuesday’s assault on Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City were buried in a mass grave in the city’s Muslim cemetery Wednesday.

The burial came after jail authorities delivered the bodies to Barangay
Maharlika in Taguig for identification by their relatives.

An ANC video footage showed that the bodies wrapped with white cloth were buried in a mass grave. A Muslim leader was giving burial rites and
praying over the bodies.

Maharlika barangay officials said the bodies were buried before 10 a.m. in accordance with Islam custom.

The 22 slain Abu Sayyaf inmates were killed after teams of police elite forces assaulted the four-story building seized by Abu Sayyaf inmates after a botched prison break Monday.

They slain inmates were identified as Almudi Tarbangsi, Ibnuhas Agsi, Alhamzer Manatad Limbong alias Kumander Kosovo, Abu Muslim Hasbie Dais, Sirad Antonida, Ibrahim Hamjoe, Amil Ulla, Gapal Mundi, Ghalib Andang alias Kumander Robot, Ammad Sahiram
Aburasim Lim, Bassan Pael, Ahmad Upao, Ahmasul Mamadi, Galad Ampaso, Nadzmie Saabdulah alias Kumander Global, Jojo Patarasan
Ahmad Aruansa, Maolinen Mobasarin, Badran Abdulhamed, Nassir Impal
