Pacquiao loses

CEBU CITY (Updated 2:19 p.m.) -- "Manila Ice" Manny Pacquiao lost to Mexican Erik Morales in their non-title fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada Sunday afternoon (Manila time).

Morales outscored Pacquiao 115-113 by unanimous decision at the end of the 12th round.

At the outset, Pacquiao was the more aggressive fighter exchanging blows with Morales during the 5th round at the mid-ring.

The Mexican returned the punches tearing PacMan's right brow leaving him partially blind which Morales took advantage of.

"I'm going to fight this fight intelligently," Morales earlier said.

The Filipino boxing hero said after their match he is willing to have "a rematch with Morales anytime, anywhere".

Pacquiao bagged P95 million as his prize. (Sunnex)
