Arroyo to return from the Vatican (10:33 a.m.)

MANILA -- President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo arrives Saturday morning from the Vatican where she attended the funeral of the late Pope John Paul II.

Upon arrival, Arroyo will join the celebration of Araw ng Kagitingan.

Arroyo led a 71-member delegation from the Philippines to the pope's funeral. She left last Wednesday night and designated Vice President Noli de Castro and Executive Secretary as caretakers of the government in her absence.

The Philippines is the only predominantly Catholic country in Asia. (Sunnex Luzon)
