Sun.Star website launches 'My Sinulog'

THE Sun.Star website at www.sunstar.com.ph is inviting the public to share their Sinulog 2006 photos and experiences with the Internet world.

Contributions will appear in the website special called "My Sinulog." Any participant or observer of any Sinulog activity may take a photo with the use of a camera phone. Send the photo with a short caption and name of the sender in an MMS (multimedia messaging system) message to starts44field@photos.flickr.com

The "My Sinulog" section at www.sunstar.com.ph/specials/sinulog2006 opens to the sound of the Sinulog beat. The section contains news items from Sun.Star Cebu and advisories on Sinulog 2006 activities. It has a photo gallery and a message board for those who wish to share greetings and Sinulog experiences with others. It carries maps of the routes of the Sinulog procession this Saturday afternoon and the Sinulog grand parade this Sunday.

Thousands are expected to join the Sinulog activities to mark the feast of the Sto. Nino de Cebu.

The Sun.Star website is Internet home to the only network of local newspapers in the Philippines. Filipinos here and abroad visit the website regularly. Last year, the website had a high of 30.6 million hits, 10.7 million page views and 1.18 million unique visits a month.
