Pinoy Everest climbers to arrive in base camp Friday (10:20 a.m.)

MANILA -- Filipino mountaineers Leo Oracion and Erwin Emata, the first two Filipinos to have reached the peak of the world's highest mountain, are expected to be back at the Mt. Everest base camp on Friday, where the first Philippine Mt. Everest Expedition awaits them.

The return of the two Filipinos was delayed because of a snowstorm up in the mountain, according to an ABS-CBN report.

Upon their arrival, a feast of Filipino foods await Oracion and Emata.

Meanwhile, a third Filipino, Romy Garduce, is expected to reach Mt. Everest's summit anytime Friday. (Sunnex)
