Bishop calls on political leaders to pray for peace in RP (10:12 a.m.)

MANILA -- With the country still in a socio-political crisis as a result of unresolved questions on the legitimacy of the Arroyo administration, Catholic Church leaders said politicians should now lead in praying for peace and an end to instability.

"Politicians should take time to kneel and pray now," said Lipa Archbishop Ramon Arguelles during a press conference on the pilgrimage in Lipa, Batangas for the National Day of Prayer and Reparation to Mary, Mediatrix of All Grace on September 11.

The prelate said all options to resolve the political crisis have been exhausted but they have never been successful.

"So I think it'’s only prayer that we can turn to," the Archbishop from Lipa lamented. (Sunnex)
