BAGUIO CITY -- Abra Board Member James Burgos Bersamin was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding men while he was jogging at the Bangued Town Plaza, police said on Tuesday.

Although Bersamin's killers were able to elude arrest during the murder on Saturday, they were eventually captured by a composite police task force.

Police Regional Director Raul Gonzales identified the suspects as Misael Aquino Gatoc, 39, of Sinapangan, Zone 6, Bangued, Abra; and July Palma Aldaca, 22, of Lubluba, Dolores, Abra, who reportedly works as a caretaker in the house of Danglas Municipal Councilor Gina Jerkins Alcartado.
