Pacquiao says he's ready for electoral race (9:35 a.m.)
MANILA -- Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao on Wednesday said he can now focus on his political fight on May 14 when he faces off with incumbent Representative Darlene Antonino-Custodio as representative of South Cotabato and General Santos City.
In a press conference in Manila City Hall upon his arrival from the US where he fought and won against Mexican boxer Jorge Solis last Sunday, Pacquiao said he will let the people decide who to vote between him and Custodio and if ever he loses, he promised to support the reelectionist congresswoman.
Pacquiao assured that he will still continue his boxing career if ever he wins in the elections.
At the start of the forum, Pacquiao thanked God for the blessing he received
through his victory over Solis. (Sunnex) |
