ASINGAN, Pangasinan -- Four persons were shot dead in Barangay Calepaan in the Pangasinan town of Asingan Monday night.

The Miranda couple was engaged in the money-changing business in Urdaneta City.
Nerez said the incident happened at 9:15 p.m. Monday in the house of the Mirandas. The killers remained unidentified as of Tuesday.
Police Regional Office (PRO) 1 Director Leopoldo Bataoil ordered a manhunt for the murderers. He also directed Nerez to organize a task force that would look into the killing.
A report said five still unidentified men alighted from a white van and a motorbike and barged into the couple's two-storey house. They first hogtied Cancino and Quejada before they proceeded to the Mirandas' bedroom upstairs where Isabel was then taking a rest.
The perpetrators ransacked the drawers in the couple's bedroom before they shot Isabel. They also shot Conrado and Quejada.
While on their way out of the house, they met Conrado and shot him, too. The four victims died on the spot.
Prior to the massacre, motorcycle-riding men had tailed the Miranda couple from Urdaneta City to their home in Asingan. Police are eyeing robbery as motive behind the killing. (LCMY/Sunnex)
