BAGUIO CITY -- Six supporters of a congressional candidate were killed while three others were wounded when their vehicle was attacked by unidentified men at 1 p.m. Friday in the boundary of Pang-ot and Bai in Abra.
The supporters of Lagayan Mayor Cecille Luna, who is running for Congress, were returning to Bai after attending a burial in another village when the attack happened.
ZAMBOANGA CITY -- The Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM) is set to file charges for violation of the election gun ban against three people, including a gubernatorial candidate of the island province of Basilan.
DAVAO CITY -- Two suspects in the April 22 roadside bomb blast in Kabuntalan, Maguindanao pointed to a mayoralty candidate of the town as the one who gave them money to blow up the bomb, the military said.
