Bomb planted by a woman inside bus By Garry Fuerzas
DAVAO CITY -- Whoever is behind the past two bombings in Central Mindanao, it is apparent that they have exploited the tendency of Filipinos not to see women in the mold of people carrying out bombing missions.
Eyewitnesses in the bomb explosion inside a Weena Bus unit parked outside a public terminal in Matalam town in North Cotabato said it was a woman who left the bag containing the improvised explosive device inside the bus.

In the May 17 blast that rocked the Weena Bus terminal in Cotabato City, witnesses said the bag containing the bomb was left in an eatery inside the terminal by a woman who even asked permission to leave it there. Three were killed and 39 others wounded in that explosion.
The woman is described to be around 5'2" in height with fair complexion and long hair.
She was with a male companion who was around 5'3" in height, with dark complexion, and hairy arms.
Both are estimated to be between 19 to 27 years old.
In the second bombing incident that injured 10 persons, mostly bystanders, authorities still have to come out with a description of the suspects.
Both incidents involved women and this led authorities to believe that the two incidents were not extortion activities to force Weena Bus management to pay up, but attacks by terrorists linked with the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI).
Military and police intelligence reports said the JI has recruited female locals and they've recently completed training inside Liguasan Marsh and Camp Cararaw Complex.
It is believed that among those who trained them are Kumander Basit Usman and the most wanted man in the United States, Sulkiplie Benhir Abdul Maruwan, who has a reward of US$5 million for his capture.
Authorities said Maruwan is in direct communication with Indonesian terrorists Omar Patek and Dulmatin. (Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro/Sunnex)
