Search of university president is on (6:30 p.m.)
ZAMBOANGA CITY -- The Board of Regents (BOR) of the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) has formed a team to search for the new university president.
The WMSU president’s office is being handled by an officer-in-charge (OIC) since April when WMSU President Eldigario Gonzales resigned and filed his certificate of candidacy for the first congressional district of this city.
When Gonzales resigned, he designated former broadcaster turned educator Dr. Ofelio Mendoza as OIC.
Last week, the university BOR has designated Commission on Higher Education (Ched) regional director Emylou Yanga as the new OIC replacing Mendoza. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex) |
