Bomb scare at RTC turned out a hoax (6:22 p.m.)
By Reynaldo G. Navales

ANGELES CITY -- A bomb threat at the Regional Trial Court in Angeles City later turned out to be a hoax.

Police said no bomb was found in the four-storey building of the RTC at the premises of the City Hall after an hour of search.

Senior Inspector Arnaldo Nunag, Police Station 3 chief, said somebody called the Office of the Clerk of Court at around 8:00 a.m. Thursday and said a bomb was planted in the RTC building.

"We immediately responded to the area and afterwards requested the assistance of the Special Weapons and Tactics (Swat) and Tourist Police Canine Unit for possible detection of the bomb," Nunag said.

Nunag said his men are now looking into the motive and the identities of the suspect in the bomb scare.(Sun.Star Pampanga)
