Koko camp to hold protest vs Comelec (9:30 p.m.)

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- After suffering legal setbacks to stop the canvassing of the scandal-ridden Maguindanao votes, Genuine Opposition (GO) senatorial candidate Aquilino Pimentel III is taking the fight to the streets.

Lawyer Rogelio Bagabuyo, a member of Pimentel's legal bureau in Cagayan de Oro, said Pimentel's camp is organizing a simultaneous nationwide rally against the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Pimentel, in asking the after the Supreme Court (SC) to stop the controversial Maguindao votes, accused the Comelec of abusing its powers by allowing the canvassing of allegedly spurious votes. (Danilo V. Adorador III of Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro)
