Military hints good dev’t in search of Fr. Bossi (10:50 a.m.)
By Bong Garcia

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- A top military official bares positive development in their efforts of locating the abducted Italian priest, Fr. Giancarlo Bossi, of the Pontificio Instituto Missioni Estere (Pime).

“We have positive result in our operations,” said Lieutenant General Eugenio Cedo, chief of the Western Mindanao Command.

“There are some improvements in our search,” Cedo added.

Troops from the Army’s 1st Infantry Division, one of Cedo’s operating units, continue their search in a bid to recover soon the abducted priest from the hands of the abductors.

Aside from ground troops, Naval forces were also deployed in the coastal areas where Fr. Bossi is believed to be in custody.

However, Cedo refused to elaborate further, citing operational matters and so as not to jeopardize the ongoing efforts to recover Fr. Bossi. (Sunnex)
