Pangasinan: Drugstores to be set up in Dagupan’s island barrios (6 p.m.)

DAGUPAN CITY -- A “botika ng barangay” will soon be established in the city's island barangays.

The City Council approved last Tuesday a resolution authored by City Councilor Jesus Canto requesting the mayor to allot P25,000 to be added to the P25,000 given by the Department of Health (DOH) for the botica project.

Canto said priority areas are the island barangays to make medicines accessible to island residents.

“Having a Botika ng Barangay at their area will be a big help to our constituents there. They need not go to the city proper and ride motorboats only buy medicines,” he said. (LCMY/Sunnex)
