Benguet truckers seek more food lane routes (10:41 p.m.)

BAGUIO CITY -– Truckers in Benguet want the implementation of the government's food lane program expanded to other routes in Metro Manila.

The Benguet Traders and Truckers Association Inc. has requested the Department of Agriculture (DA) and other concerned agencies to provide more routes to vegetable delivery trucks.

Truckers claimed some of the existing routes provided for them are not practical, saying the intention of the food lane program is not realized.

Benguet traders and truckers participated in the consultative meeting held recently at the DA central office, which aimed to evaluate the implementation of the government's food lane project. (Jane Cadalig of Sun.Star Baguio)
