Immigration arrests 2 brothers wanted by FBI
MANILA -- Philippine immigration agents have arrested two brothers wanted by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), officials said Friday.
Marvin Mercado, 34, has been hiding in the Philippines for 11 years and his 33-year-old brother, Pierre, has been doing so since 2000, said Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan.

Agents arrested the two men Thursday in Quezon City, a Manila suburb.
Libanan said that the brothers' American passports have been canceled by the US State Department, and that the Bureau of Immigration will immediately conduct summary deportation proceedings so they can be sent back to the US.
The brothers were alleged members of the Asian Boyz gang, which primarily victimized Southern California's Southeast Asian community, authorities there said.
The immigration bureau, quoting the FBI, said Marvin is facing six counts of murder, 13 counts of attempted murder, and four counts of conspiracy to commit murder with a firearm in California. Pierre was charged with two counts of attempted murder. Their hometown was not immediately available. (AP)For more Philippine news, visit Sun.Star Zamboanga.
