DUMAGUETE City Councilor Manuel “Chiquiting” Sagarrbaria expects that the City Government will operate next year in P300 million-budget.

The councilor disclosed this in an interview with the members of the media during a KBP Fellowship Night held at his residence in Barangay Calindagan.

Sagarrbaria, who chairs the powerful Committee on Finance and Appropriations and the Local Finance Committee of the executive department, said they had already conducted series of budget hearings from various departments of City Hall to determine how much budget will each operate next year.

The councilor added that among the considerations in the 2008 budget are the Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) and the so-called locally generated funds (LGF). (Sunnex)
